GPIN is a nonprofit organization that helps its members achieve and sustain performance excellence by sharing knowledge of best practices.

GPIN was created in 1993 by the founders of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to provide a vehicle through which group practices from across the country share best practices in critical areas in order to achieve and sustain performance excellence.

Mission

The Group Practice Improvement Network (GPIN), a member-driven not-for-profit association, provides structured networking for senior leaders of large multi-specialty physician group practices that are committed to performance improvement in patient care, patient and staff satisfaction, and cost effectiveness.

GPIN leverages both the knowledge of its member groups and the latest improvement innovations to develop semi-annual programs that facilitate focused learning and dialogue among leaders, with take-home applicability. GPIN facilitates ongoing connections between member group leaders via email, conference calls, publications, and focused collaboratives.

Vision

For leaders of physician group practices, GPIN is a unique and invaluable resource for achieving and sustaining high quality practice performance.

Membership Characteristics:

  1. A multi-specialty group practice with at least 50 physician/provider FTEs
  2. Senior physician and administrative leaders who are committed to achieving and sustaining high-quality performance in patient care, patient and staff satisfaction, and cost effectiveness
  3. Senior physician and administrative leaders who are committed to interacting, learning, and creating as a team with fellow GPIN member organization leaders at GPIN conferences and other GPIN networking venues

"I find GPIN to be an excellent value. What I enjoy most is the semi-annual meetings and the opportunity to connect with other medical directors and chief administrators on the issues that affect my day to day work. The meeting topics are pertinent to today's ever-changing health care environment. GPIN limits the number of memberships and this allows us to maintain a small, intimate, relaxed atmosphere at the meetings. The relationships I have made through the network are an invaluable resource to me. "

"I highly recommend considering membership with this outstanding organization."
